We measure “duplicates avoided”, not clicks

Every affiliate business has the same incentive problem: the money arrives when you buy something. We decided early that the number on the wall would be duplicates avoided — purchases a member abandoned after Continue showed them the three near-identical pieces already hanging in their closet.

Last quarter that number was 38% of all flagged items. It is the metric the whole matching team is reviewed on, and it is the reason commission rate is not an input to result ranking.

The uncomfortable version: a good quarter for the planet is a flat quarter for affiliate revenue. Subscriptions exist so that trade is survivable.
